• Introduction to historical and epistemological aspects of epigenetics, and in particular the changes that the taking into account of this new dimension of heredity provokes in ecology and in evolution

• The epigenetic bases of phenotypic plasticity and variability: state of knowledge on the mechanics of the regulation of epigenetic marks in model species and examples of phenotypic variability of epigenetic origin

• The role of epigenetics in the structuring and evolution of genomes, in particular the control and domestication of repetitive sequences

• The integration of epigenetic information in the concepts and models of heritability
